On Saturday 8th September the Market Rasen Station Community Project welcomed special guests and members of the public to Market Rasen Station to see the new Heritage Centre and Cafe. The wet weather didn’t dampen people’s spirits as visitors flocked to see the transformation of the building.

Many local residents were astounded by the transformation and it was great to hear people’s experiences of the building when it was open previously. Local ship management company Torbulk Ltd who are the tenants in the offices welcomed people to see their premises also.

The Alford Brass Band were in attendance and Mandy who will run the cafe provided them with refreshments for the day. To mark the completion of the project there were light refreshments throughout the afternoon

The Grants Officer for the Heritage Lottery Fund East Midlands, Amanda Turner said a few words as she thanked those who have contributed to the project from members of the public playing the National Lottery to organisations and individuals who have been involved in the project.

The Chairman of Lindum Group Ltd David Chambers also gave thanks to those involved and thanked the HLF for allowing Lindum to be a part of such a wonderful community project.
